Scott’s Been Busy Slaying the Covid19 Dragon!

Many Thanks, fellow ‘66er! As I said to our friend Counselor McFarlane recently: The COVID dragon has folded its tent and is leaving the field… Slooowly. I, and the other 4 in the nuclear family, all got it at the same time about 3 weeks ago, from a couple who are dear 35 year friends, and who had been in the N. Ga mountains at a non-masking large outdoor wedding weekend.

As you know Martha (my ex-, and the babies’ mama) and Hank (our youngest) both have muscular dystrophy which compromises their immune systems, especially the respiratory system where COVID does its worst. But God apparently smiled on the 5 of us (Martha, me, 2 boys, and 1 fiance), we’re all coming out of it, no hospitalizations. Nick (oldest) and Jasmine (fiancé) have tested negative, the other 3 of us soon will. The overriding symptom has been Fatigue… that lasts and lasts and lasts. The 3 of us are now Thankfully coming out of that as well. Just debilitating.

Whatever it takes precaution-wise for you and Linda and The Brood to avoid this… Please do so. A Truly miserable experience. And not all have been as fortunate as us 5. The lady who gave it to us went home yesterday after 5 days in ICU in Tampa. Terrible symptoms. She and Martha have worked together in apartment property management for decades… a dear long-time friend and colleague of theirs, Pat Kissinger, has been in hospital with COVID for 2 weeks, is on a ventilator, and her prognosis is poor. In her late 60s, was healthy 2 mos ago.

This will reflect badly on me… I wish it on Xi Jinping from whence it came… but not elsewhere. You all stay safe.
